Mr. Joseph Harvey Bransford, age 83 of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bransford was born in Manchester, Georgia on February 2, 1930. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dean and Iva Bransford; son, Wayne Bransford; brother, Harold Bransford; sister, Kate Patillo.
Mr. Bransford retired from Signal Mills as a security guard. He was a member of West Sunnyside Community Church and a veteran of The United States Army.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Cheryl Kenway, Brenda and Mark Murphy, Linda and Tim Waters, Nona Jean; grandchildren, April Truett, Stanley Truett Jr. and his wife Kelly, Alyssa & Betty Jo Murphy, Hannah & Chelsie Todd; great grandchildren, Halie, Michael, & Noah Truett, Makayla, Alaura, & Jakob Blocker.
Visitation for Mr. Joseph Harvey Bransford will be on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 1:30pm until 3:00pm at West Sunnyside Community Church. Following the visitation, a funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm at the church. Reverend Hugh Smith and Reverend Charles Hanson will officiate. Interment will follow at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
