LONACONING - Joseph Delbert Green, 84, of 7 Railroad Street, Lonaconing, Md., died Monday, December 27, 2004, at Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, where he had been a patient for two years. Born at Lonaconing, on October 9, 1920, he was the son of the late Orland Green, and Margaret (Monahan) Green. He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Green; one sister Veronica Lapp; and two brothers, Paul Green and Leon Green.
Mr. Green was of the Catholic faith, a former employee of Celanese Fibers Corporation, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion James P. Love Post #92, Lonaconing.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Cole and husband Tom, Keyser, Linda Ries and husband Doug, Henderson, Ky., and Joanne Harrison and husband Ross, Cumberland; one son, Dennis Green and wife Kathy, Springfield; one brother, Francis Green, Lonaconing; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren .
Friends and family will be received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A., Lonaconing, on Thursday, December 30, 2004, from 2-4 p.m. only. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, December 31, 2004, at 10 a.m. with the Father Paul Brecinski officiating.
Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
