William Thomas "Bill" Christian was born in Cedar Bluff, Virginia on May 30, 1923 to Thomas Delbert Christian (Born on September 11,1889 and died on April 19, 1960 in Washington, DC)and Thelma Pack Christian (Born on July 24, 1902 in Cedar Bluff, VA and died on December 9, 1957).

Bill served his country in World War II with the Young American Patriots, 1941-1945. His rank was Private First Class and was in the United States Army. He received a
Battle Star and a Good Conduct Medal.

Bill married Sonya Sue Witten on September 8, 1951 in Beckley, WV. They lived in Bluefield WV until moving to a house at Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, Virginia. Bill was the owner of Bluefield Seat Covers and worked in car business. He was a member of Fincastle Country Club. Bill enjoyed traveling to Florida, golfing and playing cards at the club. He never had children but was a fantastic uncle to Pam, Donna, Jimmy, and Jennifer Ramey of Tazewell. He had other nieces and nephews that lived in other areas.

When Bill's wife Sonya died of breast cancer in 1978, he began traveling to Florida more and more. He later married Alice Bondy of Bradenton, FL. He and Alice traveled to the Bluefield area often and they enjoyed flea marketing in Florida.

Upon his death, he was cremated and his ashes were buried with his first wife's, Sonya, remains later in 1999 after a service held at Grandview Memory Gardens. Alice, his second wife, died in 2008 and was laid to rest in Florida.

Bill had one sister, Allie Rose Christian, who was born in 1931 in WV.
