Betty Jean Bugg, age 78, of Pleasant View, died Friday, December 13th, 2013 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 16th, at 2 o'clock pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Joey Myers officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with Kenny Betts, Zachary Bugg, Chad Odle, Chris Cooksey, Warren Cooksey, and Ronnie Parker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Cooksey, Jacob Bugg, and Trent Bugg. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-8:00PM and again on Monday from 11:00AM till the hour of service. Mrs. Bugg was born March 30, 1935 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late, J.R. and Roberta Cooksey. She was a homemaker and member of Grace Baptist Church in Pleasant View. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Bugg; sister, Laverne Adkins; son-in-law, Charles "Eddie" Odle, II; and granddaughter, Amanda Odle. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Cindy) Bugg of Stroudsville, Sandy (Linda) Bugg of Pleasant View, Jeff Bugg of Pleasant View; daughter, Shelia Odle of Pleasant View; brothers, Burton (Linda) Cooksey of Springfield, Danny (Cheryl) Cooksey of Springfield, Ricky (Janet) Cooksey of Clarksville; grandchildren, Kenny (Misty) Betts, Zachary (Laura) Bugg, Chad Odle, Amy Odle, Brandy Bugg, Jacob Bugg, Trent Bugg, and Abby Bugg; and 6 great-grandchildren.
