David Roy Dix, 72, was found dead last night at his home at 412 E 12th street.
Deputy Coroner Leonard R. Smith said Mr. Dix who lived alone, apparently had died of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon. He was last seen by neighbors about 4:30 p.m. that day.
Mr. Dix was found seated on a davenport when a neighbor, W.A. Anerton, entered the house to investigate after having observed that the house was in darkness Wednesday night.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Callaway & Son Mortuary

Services for David Roy Dix, 72, a long time resident of The Dalles who died at his home at 41 E 12th street Wednesday night will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday from the C.R. Callaway & Son Chapel. Interment will be in the IOOF cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Dix are three sisters, Mrs. Ada Kibbs, Portland, Mrs. Hugh Thornton, Clackamas, and Mrs. C A McCarty, Boise, and two brothers, Clark Dix, Klamath Falls, and Gough Dix, Rockaway.
