Daniel Preston Gadd, 56, died on 05 Sep 1977 in West Virginia. He was born on 01 March 1921 in Beckley, Raleigh County, W.Va., a son of Daniel Pierce Gadd and wife Maude Mae Meadows Gadd.

Mr. Gadd was a claims representative of the Social Security Administration in the Beckley office. He was a lifelong Beckley resident and a member of First Christian Church, the Fellowship Sunday School class of First Baptist Church, Beckley Elks Lodge 1492 and the Mountaineer Square Dancers.

He was survived by wife Anna Lee Teaford Gadd; daughters Gloria Allen and Diana York; two stepsons, Robert and David Shrewsbury; three stepdaughters, Beth Pollastrini, Mary Walker and Jo Ann Shrewsbury; two sisters, Nannie Ellen Gadd Tucker and Janice Gadd Fink; brothers William and Forrest Gadd; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Robert C. Lohman and Dr. Walter H. Griswold officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
