He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Oklahoma Territory, to Roy and Fannie Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a veteran of World War II, receiving many awards during combat, including the purple heart for valor and the bronze star.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Ann Taylor; and a grandson, Randy Nunn.
He is survived by one son, Charles O. Taylor, Jr., of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three daughters, Charlotte Nunn of Las Vegas, Nev., Bea Wesson of Richardson, Texas, and Barbara Martin of Clovis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at his daughter's home in Clovis.
Greg Martin will officiate.
Mr. Taylor donated his body to the University of New Mexico.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
