Ojeda, Aurora age 92, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on a peaceful starlit night on December 17, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Daniel D. Ojeda Sr. and her parents, Manuel and Dolores Dominguez. Survived by children, Daniel Jr., Paula (Duane) Howe, Mary Lou (John) Burke, Robert (Marilyn), Dolores (Michael) Robinson, Terry (Rick) Looby and David Ojeda; 3 sisters; 8 brothers; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Aurora was born in Texas on the evening of the Aurora Borealis which is how her name came about. She was known as "Princess Aurora" from the children's fable "Sleeping Beauty." Her devotion to children started when she was very young. She learned a great deal from her grandmother. Aurora had skills of cooking and sewing and received awards for her sewing ability. Her patriotism came from her father and other relatives who all served with distinction. She was a life member of the VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She received state recognition for her contributions to the state's war memorials. Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, December 21st at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 7300 - 42nd Ave. N., New Hope. Visitation Friday, 4-7 PM and one hour prior to service. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
