Maxine Cameron, age 59 of Newport, passed away on December 18, 2013 at UT Medical Center. She was a member of Greenes Chapel in Morristown. She was retired from Detroit Gasket.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Jessie Cureton; husband, Andrew Cameron; Granddaughter, Hannah Renee Gibson; brothers Johnny, Tommy, and Lloyd Cureton; sister, Doris Holt.
She is survived by her son, C.A. (Candie) Barton of Newport; daughter, Cindy Gibson of Gatlinburg; ; grandson, Jordan Barton of Newport; granddaughter, Haylie Gibson of Newport; sisters Marie (Gordon) Woods, Frances (Tommy) Edwards, Earl (Joyce) Cureton of Newport; sister-in-laws, Jean Cureton and Irene Cureton; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral Service following at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Jack Greene officiating.
