As a child, she danced in the children's ballet at the Berlin Theater and was a model, along with her sisters Hanni and Else, for photo postcards in the years between 1905-1919. She was most known, in Germany, for her acting career in silent films between 1913 to the early 1920's when sound was added. Her film career continued until 1957. She is credited in 80 films, some of which she acted along side of her sisters Hanni & Else, a brother, Otto, and Fred Louis Lerch, and Austrian actor. His birth name was Alois Lerch and would be the man she married.
