TEXAS CITY - Melba Ross, 44. died Wednesday at Mainland Center Hospital in Texas City. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home of Texas City, the Rev. Boyd Baker officiating. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ross was born Oct. 3. 1942 in Austin and was a housewife. She worked with the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by her mother. Grace Waxier of Austin; husband, James F. Ross of Texas City: son. James T. Ross of Boston; daughters. Jeannette Edmonson of Jacksonville. Texas, Becky Clayton of Ann Arbor, Mich.. Mary Frieze of Austin and
Charlotte Ross of Texas City and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. John's United Methodist Church.
