Mrs. Lovell Stilwell Smith, 84, of Clarksburg, MD, died Tuesday, December 17, at Montgomery Hospice Casey House, Rockville, Md.

She was the wife of the late Jack Bane Smith, whom she married November 27, 1959. Born April 5, 1929, in Raven, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie William Stilwell and Mattie Mae Absher Stilwell of Cedar Bluff, VA.

Mrs. Smith was an LPN having worked for several years in medical care in the Richlands, Va. area.

Surviving are:
Two daughters:
Julia A. Frickert and husband Richard Y. of Marine City, Michigan
Susan M. Lewis and husband Eddie E. Lewis, Jr. of Clarksburg, Md

Three grandchildren, Richard E. Frickert, Rebecca M. Frickert and Chelsea N. Lewis

One sister, Ruth Stilwell Brewster and husband James L. Brewster of Tazewell, VA.


Funeral services for Lovell Smith will be held Saturday, December 21, at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, 1401 Second St., Richlands, VA, where the family will receive friends from noon until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Entombment will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va.
