He was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Tilden, to the late Henio and Alejandra Valadea Quintanilla. He was a retired oilfield worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Carolina Longoria Quintanilla; daughter, Dalia Ramirez of Three Rivers; sons, Billy Griffith of Nell, Donald Griffith of George West, Richard Quintanilla and Edward Quintanilla, both of Three Rivers; brothers, Gene Quintanilla of Hebbronville and Henio Quintanilla of Tilden; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
