LOCAL LADY'S BROTHER DIES AT FORT WAYNE
Max W. Stonebraker, 51, of 701 Russell avenue, Fort Wayne, died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday at Parkview memorial hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 20.
He was an employe of International Harvester before retiring due to illness.
Mr. Stonebraker was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church and served with the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Adeline; his mother, Mrs. Lois Stonebraker of Churubusco; three brothers, Merle of Los Angeles, Calif., Kenneth of Albion and Wesley of Churubusco; and two sisters, Mrs. Don Hakes of Decatur and Mrs. Robert Freddrick of Huntertown.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Wesleyan Methodist church, with Rev. Paul McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek cemetery near Garrett. Friends may call at the Sonday & Sheets funeral home, Churubusco, from 2 p.m. today until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church.
