Robert M. "Marshall" Stenger, 83, of Fayetteville, Pa., died on Friday, October 14, 2005, in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on October 19, 1921, in Mercersburg, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Pauline (Smith) Stenger.

Retired since 1985, Marshall was the co-owner and operator of the former Carr & Pheil TV and Electronics store in downtown Chambersburg. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Cumberland Valley Amateur Radio Club, Quarter Century Wireless Association., the Philatelic Society, the Chambersburg Club, Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599, BPOElks Lodge 600, and Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eleanor (Carson) Stenger; one daughter, Tracy Stenger, both of Fayetteville, and several cousins.
