Joan E. Fonda, 49, of Look Kinney Circle, Liverpool, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Fonda resided most of her life in North Syracuse. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; two daughters, Susan Diaz of Mattydale and Ann Fonda of East Syracuse; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Andrews of North Syracuse; a sister, Carol Butters of Liverpool; a granddaughter; and two nieces. Services will be at noon Friday in Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, the Rev. Leonard Johnson officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
