John Richard Echols, 69, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Golden Plains Church of Christ.

Mr. Echols was born April 9, 1944, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Clarence and Ada Echols. He worked in the construction industry.

Survivors include a son, John Richard Echols III of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a brother, Thomas Echols Sr. of Crowley; and two grandchildren.
