William Mead, 69 years old, died at his home two miles northwest of Bluejacket at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
He is survived by a wife, Sarah Mead, three, sons, Chauncey of Chetopa, William of Miami and Galen of Mills, Wyo.; eight daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Kinnett of Ottawa, Kas., Mrs. S. A. McConnell, of Mayetta, Kas., Mrs. Ola Scrimisher of Parker, Wash., Mrs. Ivy Gruebel of Topeka, Kas., Mrs. Etta McAtiliff of Parker, Wash., Mrs. Britie Smith and Mrs. Pansy Webb, of Miami, and Vivian Mead of the home address.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 10 o'clock this morning. Burial was in G. A. R. cemetery under the direction of Mitchelson Undertaking company of Commerce.
