Mr. James Mosby Fulton, aged 73 years and 7 months, died of heart trouble at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frances Workman, in Akron, Ohio at 6 o'clock, Friday morning, August 23, 1940. He had been in failing health for a year or more so that his loved ones had notice that the end was near. He served as Mayor of Fayetteville and the town never had a more efficient man in that important office. During his administration, the sewer system was installed in the town. The remains were brought to Fayetteville and service at his residence on South Main Avenue conducted by the Revs. Hinkle and Clarke the remains were buried at Lebanon Cemetery beside his wife.
