AUBURN - Mr. Eddie Huard, 71, of 77 Seventh St. Auburn, died unexpectedly Thursday while visiting at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Irene) Delorme in Vassalboro. Born in Grand-Mere, Que., on April 7, 1912. Mr. Huard was the son of Hector and Olivine (Mathieu) Huard Cote and had resided in Auburn for about 50 years. A member of St. Louis Church, he has been employed at Maine Baking Co. and for many years as a grounds man for Central Maine Power Co.
At the time of his retirement in Feb. 2, 1976, he was employed in the maintenance department at the Lewiston Sun Journal. His wife, the former Eveyln Custeau, died July 7, 1979. Surviving are three daughters Mrs. Irene Delorme, Mrs. Lucille Allen, Ashland, Mass., and Mrs. Gerard (Joline) Pelletier, Hooksett, NH., three brothers, Gerard Huard, Augusta, ME., Rudolph Huard, Springvale, ME., and Hector Huard, Bristol, Conn., four sisters Mrs. Cecile Dominy, Mrs. Margaret Boulet, Mrs. Jeannette Dumont, and Mrs. Rita Smith, all of Sanford; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
