Flora L Safford 92, of Blue Road Monmouth died Feb. 2, 2003 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, where she had resided the last 4 years.
She was born May 22, 1910 in Leeds the daughter of Elmer and Lula Libby Burgess. She attended Leeds schools.
She joined Ormond Safford in marriage June 1, 1935 in Leeds. They made their home and raised children in Monmouth. Mr Safford died Nov. 23, 1991. She worked at the Colburn Furniture Factory in Greene. She was the last of eight children in her family.
