Mrs. Knoth was born in 1922 in Muscatine County, Iowa, to August and Libbie Brossart. She graduated with the class of '39 from Muscatine High School. On May 8, 1946, she married Harold M. Knoth in Rock Island. He died July 11, 1992. During the 1960s, she was active in youth baseball. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport, the American Legion Auxiliary, the American Red Cross (a 25-year volunteer), Quad-City Times Plus 60 and AARP. She also enjoyed gardening, travel and antiques.
Survivors include her son, Kimball Knoth of Davenport; daughter, Lorrie Knoth of Spokane, Wash.; nephews, Bob (Robin) Halling and Bill (Chris) Halling; nieces, Einiyah, Judy Knoth and Lois Brossart; and many special friends and her loving cat "Allerton." In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Garrett; sister, Myrtle Halling; brother, Floyd Brossart; and a nephew, Marlin Brossart.
