Edna M. Wenrich

Edna M. Wenrich, 87, formerly of Bernville, died Jan. 26, 2008, in Berks Heim, where she had resided since August 2005. She was the widow of Raymond D. Wenrich, who died Oct. 22, 1996. Born in Upper Bern Township, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Annie (Kramer) Haag.

She had been employed as a sewing machine operator for Valley Forge Flag Company, Womelsdorf, and lastly in the housekeeping department for Reading Hospital for 10 years, until her retirement. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Bernville, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Mount Pleasant Fire Company.

She is survived by a son, Daniel Wenrich, husband of Jane Wenrich, Penn Township; and two daughters, Linda J., wife of Sheldon Hill, Rehrersburg; and Jane A. Wenrich, Sinking Spring. Other survivors include a sister, Betty, widow of Alvin Schlenker, Penn Township. There also are three grandchildren: Kevin Wenrich; Brenda, wife of Harvey Heckman; and Lisa, wife of Ron Swope; four great-grandchildren: Heather, Jason, Tiffany and Devin; and a great-great-grandson, Aidan. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tammy Bashore.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, with the Rev. Robert G. Argot Jr., officiating.
