Blanche, 86, died Tuesday at the Mennonite Home.

She was born in Elm Springs, Ark., the daughter of Alonzo and Rosetta (Anglin) Finley. She moved to Coquille in 1935.

Blanche married Cleo P. Capps on May 20, 1936, in Coquille. They moved to Albany in 1950 and lived there since. Cleo died on June 22, 1995.

Blanche was a longtime member of Albany First Baptist Church, which is now Willamette Community Church. She enjoyed camping and crocheting and was always available to help those in need.

Blanche is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bob Mitchell of Albany; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Thad Finley of Coquille and sisters Willa Deane Olson of Albany and Theo Poole of Dayton. Daughter Donna Wallace preceded her in death.

A funeral service was today at Fisher Funeral Home. A private interment will be at Willamette Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in care of Fisher Funeral Home (www.fisherfuneralhome.com).
