Barbara Blackwell Zimmer, age 65 of Reedville, Virginia, passed away at her home in Rockledge, Florida on September 2, 2006. Barbara was a life member of Fairfields Baptist Church, Burgess, Virginia. She was formerly employed as a dental assistant by Dr. John H. Harding of Burgess, Virginia. Barbara also worked for 21 years as a Commercial Loan Officer for United Bank and Trust in Ozen Hill, Maryland. and she also worked as a case examiner for thirteen years at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida, until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Downing Blackwell and her brother William Samuel Blackwell.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years. Frederic L. Zimmer, her mother Cecelia W. Blackwell, sister, Mary Elizabeth B. Barrett. She is also survived by three nephews, two nieces and a little friend, Toby.
Services were September 6, 2006 at Faulkner Family Funeral Home in Burgess, with Rev. Steve Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Blackwell Family Cemetery, Sunnybank. Reedvillr, Virginia.
