Clara Ruth Teffeteller, age 82, of Walland, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Asbury Place of Maryville. Clara was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Unique Dry Cleaners after many years of service. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, great grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Teffeteller and the daughter of the late Joe and Victoria Borden; also preceded by brothers and sisters, Everett Borden, Jay Borden, Bea Turham, Virginia Eddington, Louise Laney, and Geneva Smallen.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, James and Rita Teffeteller of Rutledge, TN, Charles and Holly Teffeteller of Walland, Louise Kidd of Maryville, Michael D. Teffeteller of Walland, and Wilma and Ron Capehart of Knoxville; Ten Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, and One Great-Great Grandchild. Brothers, Arthur Borden of Knoxville, and Marvin Borden of Kentucky; Sisters, Binta Taylor of Maryville and Betty Wilson of Athens; Special friends, Cornelius Hyde and family, and Ronald Caldwell and family, many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive.
A Celebration of Clara's Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2013 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
