She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Mountain Grove, Mo., to Harry E. Frisk and Mary Gosvener Frisk. She was the second oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. She married Roy Patrick Miller on April 7, 1939, in Oakdale. The couple had two sons, Gene Miller and Vernon Miller..
Mrs. Miller owned various restaurants and a general store in the Long Barn area. She was the first owner of Cottage Springs Ski Resort and proudly kept her faith with her involvement in the Faith Lutheran Church in Murphys..
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Gene (Pat) Miller of Hathaway Pines and Vernon (Ingrid) Miller of Cottage Springs; one brother, Vern Frisk; five sisters, Fairy Hale, Genevieve Turnham, Geneva Obermeyer, Fern Rowley and Janet Frisk; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roy Patrick Miller; her sisters, Hazel Avis Frisk and Berniece Smith; and her brothers, Harry (Gene) Frisk and Charles (Merle) Frisk.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 65 Mitchler St., Murphys, with a reception immediately afterward.
