Emma L. Kincaid, 83, of Grants Pass died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenn Bern officiating. A potluck reception will follow at the family's home. Private entombment will held Monday at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 7420 S.W. Bridgeport Road, Tualatin, OR 97224.

She was born Emma Lillian Borri, March 23, 1920, in Healdsburg, Calif. In 1939, she married Fred P. Kincaid, who died June 14, 1990. They moved to Grants Pass in the early 1940s. For 41 years, she worked as a licensed practical nurse at the former Josephine Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Cornerstone Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed oil painting, skiing, boating, water skiing and rafting.

Survivors include a son, Al Kincaid of Grants Pass; a brother, Joe Borri of Healdsburg, Calif.; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
