Ernest E. Copenhaver
Ernest E. Copenhaver, 58, husband of Mrs. Gladys V. (Caplinger) Copenhaver, 1425 W. College Ave., York, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday at his residence.
Born at Jefferson, son of the late John L. and Ellen Sterner Copenhaver, he was employed by D. E. Horn and Co. Inc. He was a member of the South End Democratic Club and the Prince Athletic Association.
Surviving, besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Edward King, York; two sons, Donald Copenhaver, York, and James Copenhaver, at home; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Beck, Hanover; three brothers, Walter Copenhaver, Hanover; John Copenhaver, Brodbecks, and Ralph Copenhaver, Gettysburg; and nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Robert E. Nale, pastor of Shiloh Lutheran Church, will conduct the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Decker Funeral Home, 550 W. King St., York, with interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
