George Zoltan Lefton, 90, of Chicago, known as "The China King" for his work in porcelain imports, died Wednesday in Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami. Mr. Lefton developed current practices in the porcelain giftware industry. He was founder of the Geo. Zoltan Lefton Co. on the South Side. The company, which employs more than 400 people across the globe, has 18 showrooms, one of them in the Merchandise Mart. Mr. Lefton fled Nazi Hungary in 1938 and came to the United States. He then helped to bring to this country more than 12 relatives, whom he later employed in his giftware company. Survivors include his wife, Magda; a daughter, Margo Lefton; two grandchildren Stacey Lefton Glick and Steven Lefton Sharp; grandchildren Zachary Nathaniel Lefton Glick, Chase Lefton Glick and Alexandra Sommer Sharp. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Piser Weinstein Menorah Chapels, 5206 N. Broadway
