Mrs. L. F. Dodd
Funeral services for Mrs. Lanora Franklin Dodd were held at the Lodi Baptist Church at 10 a. m. Sunday, with Rev. E. E. Henderson of Drew conducting. Burial was at 3:00 p. m. in Drew.
Mrs. Dodd and family have lived in the Lodi community about eight years. She was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Bill Hoskins in Meridian when she became ill, and passed away at the sanatorium there November 6th. She had been born at Reform in Choctaw County 63 years ago. Her husband, James A. Dodd preceded her in death, in 1937.
Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Milton Ogrlesby of Lodi and Mrs. Bill Hoskins of Meridian, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Frank Slater, Minter City, and Mrs. J. L. Beach, Cleveland; two sons, S/Sgt. C. T, Dodd and Sgt. Henry Dodd, both in the U. S. Air Forces; five stepsons, L. S. Dodd, Rome, Miss., O. B. Dodd, Greenville, S. O. Dodd, Vance, and J. H. Dodd, Isola, and First Lieut, Clois Dodd with the U. S. Engineers; two sisters, Mrs. D. C. Connor, Cleveland, and Mrs. John Byrd, McCall Creek, Miss.; and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Oliver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Paul Salley, Farris Castle, Milton Oglesby, Bill W. Hoskins, William Oglesby and Aubry Oglesby.
