He married Nancy M. Davidson on 11/5/1887 in Fayette County, IL.

He is the son of John Hinton & P. Jane Harrison.

Nathan Hinton,aged 52, formerly a well known farmer in Montgomery county,died at 5:25 oclock Wednesday evening in his home, 1250 E. Marietta street, where he had lived for a year .A little more than a year ago while working about a corn sheller he suffered serious injuries from which he never recovered.

He was born June 4, 1864 near Vandalia and lived in that community all of his life until his injury which incapacitated him for farm work. He then retired, moving to Decatur.

Besides his widow,Nancy M.Hinton, he leaves seven children,they are Elmer Hinton, Mrs. Iva Bradshaw, Raymond, John, Otis, Asa and Kenneth Hinton all living in Decatur. He also leaves four brothers and one sister. They are W.R. Hinton and A.A. Hinton of Macon, Ralph Hinton of Blue Mound, Jack Hinton of Fillimore, Ill and Mrs. Lizzie Cook of Blue Mound.

The body was removed to Morans to be prepared for burial. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
