1919, in Plainview, Texas, to
Gilbert and Hannah (Lloyd)
Louthan. He was raised by Will and
Gwen Lundt after his mother died
when he was 1 year old. His later
childhood years were spent in
Sioux Rapids, where he received
his education, graduating from
Sioux Rapids High School.
He married Helen Cady Nov. 25,
1939, in Sioux Rapids . H e farmed
until he entered the military in
November, 1943 and was discharged
in March, 1946. He then farmed for
48-1/2 years until his retirement in
November, 1988.
Thomas was a member of the
United Methodist Church in Webb,
the American Legion and Masonic
Lodge , and was a Soil
Conservation ASCS office director
and served on the R E C Board of
Directors for 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; an infant son; six brothers;
one sister; and the aunt and uncle
who raised him — Will and Gwen
Lubdt.
