A native of Del Rio, TN., she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Arbella Hall Green. She was the widow of Robert Charles Jefferson Keller, married for over 50 years.
A graduate of David Lipscomb College, Mrs. Keller retired from the Greenville County School System after teaching for over 30 years. She received her Masters Degree from Furman University. During her career, she taught children from the third through sixth grades in her hometown of Tennessee and at the following schools in South Carolina: Woodside, Alexander and Slater Marietta Elementary. Bob Jones University rewarded her for outstanding contributions to the field and for supervising student teachers. She was also named Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Keller was a member of the Slater Marietta Church of Christ. In fact, the church's first meetings were held at Mr. and Mrs. Keller's home. Mrs. Keller enjoyed sewing, painting and collecting history about her ancestors. She spent many summers working at Beechwood Farms. She loved nature, singing and the Lord. Mrs. Keller always had a kind word and a delicious meal to share with others. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
