Barney Miller, 82, formerly of Muscatine, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at a nursing home at Mt. Pleasant, after an extended illness.

The son of Barney and Caroline Rothe Miller, he was born Aug. 16, 1879 in Muscatine.

He was married to Minnie NAGLE. After her death he was married to Mrs. Matilda LASCHANSKY.

Surviving are three sons,
Harry Miller of Minneapolis, Minn.,
Robert Miller of Philadelphia, and
Dearrel Miller with the U.S. Army at San Francisco;
a step-son, Arthur Laschansky of Muscatine;

four daughters, Mrs. Bernard DROLL of Iowa City,
Mrs Burnell RABEDEAUX of Mt. Pleasant,
Mrs. Felix MEDINE of
Davenport, and
Mrs. Kenneth CHEELEY of Casper, Wyo.;
a step-daughter, Mrs.Velma SCHWARTZ of Muscatine;

one sister, Mrs. Lena BODMAN of Muscatine;
14 granchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was prededed in death by his parents, both wives, six sisters and one brother.

The body is being brought to the George M. Wittich funeral home Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
