LONG TIME RESIDENT DIES:
Member of one of the communities oldest families succumbs to heart attack. Burial Tuesday in Wildwood. Mrs. Mary Jane McMinn, widow of the late William John McMinn of Lanes Mills, died Sunday, April 25 1943 at 7 am at the home of her daughter Mrs. Catherine Vibbert of Allens Mills where she was visiting. She was in her usual health until two o'clock when she was siezed with a heart attack and her death followed in five hours.
Mary Jane Humphreys, daughter of the late Henry Humphreys and Catherine McLaughlin Humphreys, was born in Bucks County, PA January 28 1858 (?). She was the eldest of a family of thirteen children. Eighty three years ago her parents came to Lanes Mills section and settled on what is now know as the Marshall-Mclaughlin farm. Later Mr. Humphreys and Mr. Marshall exchanged farms. Mr Humphreys acquiring the farm known as the old Henry Humphreys farm. There Mary Jane grew to womanhood, assisting her mother in the duties of the farm house and care of the large family. On October 28, 1878 she was united in marriage with William J. McMinn (familiarly called during his entire lifetime, Billie John) a popular young famer of the home community and they began housekeeping on the farm which remained her home during her entire life.
