Willie Lee Welch, age 86, of Maryville, born Nov. 4, 1927, departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. He was a member of Texas Valley Baptist Church and was retired from Sears after 38 years of employment.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Carvin and Mary Welch; first wife, Anna Lee Welch; brothers, Albert and Lester Welch; sister, Edna Hurst.
Survivors: wife: Geraldine Davis Hurst Welch; daughter and son-in-law: JoAnn and Hank Loveday; son and daughter-in-law: Rex and Donna Welch; step son: Tony Hurst; step daughter and husband: Doran and Robin England; grandchildren: Chris Loveday and wife Sara, Ryan Loveday, Jordan Welch, Hanna Welch, Steven Mancini, Shelby England, Cody England, Danny Hurst; great grandchildren: Lily and Rose Loveday, Nolan and Lennox Loveday, Katelin Welch, Natalie and Jacob Carr, Emma Mancini; sisters: Pearlie Ledford, Georgia Daniels, Ruth Bain; brother: Cliff Welch and wife Betty; half sister: Frances Owensby and husband Rex; half brothers: Robert Welch and wife Pam, Harold Welch and wife Louise, Wayne Welch, Ray Mayhem.
Funeral service 7 p.m. Tuesday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Charlie Tindell and Rev. Jay Buckner officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday in Texas Valley Cemetery.
