Zella M. Barcome, 80, passed away peacefully on a Friday, at home.

Zella was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Bingman) Fleming. As a child, she was raised and attended school in Munising, Manistique and Escanaba.

On Aug. 31, 1951, Zella was united in marriage to Basil Barcome and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Escanaba. In addition to raising her family, Zella was employed at F.W. Woolworth Retail Store and the former Tim and Sally's Restaurant in Escanaba. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and writing. Zella was also an exceptional, humble artist and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She is deeply missed.

Zella was survived by: her husband, Basil; a son, two daughters, two brothers, three sisters and 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zella was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Catherine; daughter, Valerie Maki; brothers, Don Springer and William Fleming; sisters, Wanda Fleming and Kim Thielman; brother-in-law, Richard Gould.

Visitation Zella's at the Skradski Funeral Home, Funeral services officiated by Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski of the All Saints Church. Burial in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
