Max C. Mrotek, 65, of 2368 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Koszarek will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Mrotek was born Oct. 8, 1909, at Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Sophia Jagodinski Mrotek. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the army with the Red Arrow Division and was stationed overseas in the Pacific Theater fro three and one half years. He married Agnes Mary Franz Nov. 10, 1945, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was the present owner of the Fashion Barber Shop and had operated the shop for the past 30 years. He was a member and secretary of Holy Name Society of St. Mary Parish, choir member of the church and had served for 22 years as secretary of the church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Aerie No. 706 of Manitowoc, Third Order of St. Francis and a member and present secretary-treasurer of Barbers Local No. 694.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Thomas, Michael and William, of Manitowoc, two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Neilitz, of Manitowoc and Miss Emily Mrotek, at home; four brothers, Luke and Edmund, of Manitowoc, George, of Milwaukee and Ted, of Chicago and two grandsons. Three brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday. Barbers Local will meet in a body at 7 p.m., a wake memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Holy Name Society Third Order of St. Francis, Daughters of Isabella and friends.
