Robert Clachrie (nee McClachrie), born about 1809, probably at Colvend, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, a child of David McClachrie and Elizabeth Donaldson, was a merchant seaman and master mariner. Robert married Sabina Riley about 1846; six children: Margaret; Robert; Elizabeth; Agnes; Cecilia; Emilie. Robert's wife Sabina died April 2, 1875.
