Fred C. Mobley, 85, of 1206 S. 6th Avenue, died Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Mobley was born February 16, 1893 in Aurora, Missouri. The family came to Enumclaw in 1901.
He retired as chief clerk with the Northern Pacific Railroad after 48 years of service here. He came to Yakima in 1932 when the NP terminal was built. He was a member of the World War I Barracks No. 157, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Disabled American Veterans Lodge No. 8; American Legion in Puyallup; Yakima Eagles Lodge; Selamona Grange No. 969 where he was past master; Retired Railroad Clerks and the Congregational Christian Church in Yakima.
Survivors are his widow, Verna; one son, Gerald Mobley of Ellensburg; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Meacham of Gig Harbor; two brothers, Leslie Mobley of Renton and Earl Mobley of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Esther) Kolbeck of Seattle; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
