In the 1930 U.S. Census, widower Frank P. Brooks, 77, born Maine, was one of 34 "inmates: at a Cambridge, Mass. institution with John Shea as superintendent.

In the 1920 U.S. Census, John Stewart, 38, born Scotland, parents born Scotland, was living in Cambridge, Mass. with Florence, 35, born Ireland, parents born Ireland; lodger Frank R. Brooks, single, 66, born Maine, parents born Maine; lodger Samuel Gantz, 20, born Russia, parents born Russia; and lodger George Martin, 23, born Canada, parents born Canada.

In the 1910 U.S. Census, Frank P. Brooks, 56, born Maine, parents born Maine, was living in Cambridge, Mass. with Martha, 52, born Maine, parents born Maine; and Minnie Brooks, 30, born Maine.

In the 1900 U.S. Census, saw filer Parker F. Brooks, 47, born November 1853 in Maine, parents born Maine, was living on Cambridge Street in Cambridge, Mass. with Martha M., 45, born June 1855 in Maine, parents born Canada; Minnie J. Young, 22, born April 1878n in Maine; and son-in-law cabinet maker Simon J. Young, 23, born January 1877 in Canada, parents born Canada.
The couple had been married for 23 years, and both of Martha's children were still living.
The Youngs had been married for two years, and Minnie had borne no children.
Simon had come to the U.S. in 1890.

In the 1880 U.S. Census, seaman Frank Brooke, 27, born Maine, parents born Maine, parents born Maine, was living in Robbinston, Maine, with Martha, 24, born Maine, parents born Canada; Minnie,2, and Burton, 1, both born in Maine.

Frank P. Brooks and Martha M. Diffin wed on October 21, 1876.

In the 1870 U.S. Census, farmer Ruben Brook, 61, born Maine, was living in Robbinston, Maine, with Jane, 44; Frank, 16; John, 14; Herbert J., 8; and Alden R., 2, all born in Maine.

In the 1860 U.S. Census, Reuben Brooks, 61, born Maine, was living in Robbinston, Maine, with Jane, 34, born N.B.; Elisabeth, 14; Alice, 11; Frank P., 6; and John F., 4, all born in Maine.
