Philip M. Von Heim, 51

Philip M. Von Heim, 51, of Blair, died at his home on July 29, 2001.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 5, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Philip M. Von Heim was born Oct. 18, 1949, to Harold C. and Evan N. Heim. He grew up in Boulder, Colo. While a child, he developed a passionate love for the outdoors and developed into an avid hunter and fisherman.

He enjoyed working on equipment with his hands, skills that he employed after moving to Nebraska in 1994. He held a variety of positions, including working at Central Plains Distributing of Omaha and Dana College in Blair. He continued his love of the outdoors and spent much of his free time fishing.

He is survived by his adult son from his first marriage, and two young daughters from his second marriage. He was a very loving father to his daughters.

He is also survived by his brother, sister-in-law, and four nephews.
