Barnes was born July 8, 1925, in Dal Rock (Rowlett) to Roxie (Crawford) and Walter Francis White, and died May 10, 2013.
She spent her early years in the Farmersville area and was employed in the garment industry during that time. She was an excellent seamstress throughout her life. She married Tyson Barnes and moved to Kemp, where she spent most of her life making a home for her family.
