Edwin H. Sterret, aged 47, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Atlanta [ed. - Athens], Ga., on Feb. 17. He was a native of Rockbridge county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mc. M. Sterrett.
Mr. Sterrett is survived by his wife, the former Miss Annie [ed. Anna] Marie Fudge, of Covington, two sons, Edwin H. Sterrett, Jr. of the Army Air Corps, stationed at Montgomery, Ala., and Andrew Fudge Sterrett, stationed at the Army Air Base in Richmond, and one daughter, Miss Susie Sterrett. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alden S. Anderson and Mrs. John K. Davidson of Lexington, and two brothers, Mc. M. Sterrett of Brownsburg and Thornton W. Sterrett of Indianapolis, Ind.
He was buried in Montgomery, W. Va., on Feb. 20. Those attending the funeral from Rockbridge county were Mrs. Alden S. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Mc. M. Sterrett, Miss Cornelia Davidson and Mr. and Mrs. Locke White."
