Born Nov. 9, 1958, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Day Hammond and William T. Hammond Jr. She was the wife of Anthony Jerome Cain, her husband of 14 years.
She was a project manager for Quest Diagnostics. She enjoyed going dancing, traveling, giving parties and catering to everyone's needs, especially her nieces and nephews.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are stepdaughters Angela C. Cain, of New Orleans, La., and Natalie M. Cain, of Cockeysville; siblings Christine Hogue, Peggy Esposito, Ruth Thomas and Linda Peters, all of Westminster, Kathleen Moretti, of Port Deposit, Diane Griffith, of Bel Air, William T. Hammond III, of Pasadena, Louise Joyce, of Hampstead, Carol Schleicher, of Eldersburg, Paul Hammond, of Jarrettsville, and Denise McGibben, of Hartford, Conn; a step-grandson, Jonathon Thompson, of Cockeysville; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. There will be no public service. Interment will be private at a later date at Deer Park Cemetery in Smallwood.
