Journalist. Popular sportswriter for the "Indianapolis Star" who subsequently served the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1945 to 1987. At the height of his career, he served as the Speedway's Director of Publicity. His premier works include "500 Miles to Go," a history of the Indianapolis 500-mile classic. The Albert W. Bloemker Media Center at the Speedway is named in his honor.
