Mrs. Victor W. Smith, Jr.
Rosella E. Smith, 87, of 316 N. Chestnut St., Derry, died Friday evening Sept. 4, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born March 20, 1894, in Pleasant Unity, she was a daughter of the late Catherine Tarr and Conrad J. Stumps. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Victor W. Smith, Jr., January 1975. She was a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Graham (Anna Mae) Baskin of Marion Center and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the McCabe Funeral Home, 310 S. Chestnut St., Derry, from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Graff, and Rev. Lester Crummy officiating. Entombment will follow in the Coles Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Derry Area ambulance service.
