Obituary from local newspaper; WILLIAMSON - On the 7th instant , Cornelius Williamson , aged 78 years , 10 months and 17 days. Although the deceased had been in declining health , yet his departure from this life was unexpected and sudden. On the previous week he had paid a visit to friends in North Branch , apparently in the posscssion of his usual good spirits and vigor. On the preceding evening, there was no abatement of his bodily or mental powers, but he took an interest in all the affairs of his family. In the morning he was found dead in his bed, every indication pointing to a stroke of paralysis as the cause. A large concourse of friends and neighbors attended the funeral; and his remains were interred in the family burying ground, on the farm once owned by his father, east of the village.
