HEALTH OFFICER DIES AT FRANKLIN
Dr. D.R. Saunders, 85, who died at Franklin Tuesday was a former physician in Jennings county. He was engaged in the shoe business at Franklin in early life and became a physician at the age of 45. In 1911 he moved from North Vernon where he had practiced 12 years to Franklin. He was health officer there for 20 years. A son, Don, of Chicago, survives.
